Caught about 30 on Friday, 35 on Saturday, 3 pompano, 3 reds and one cobia--we think he made length...

Saturday morning in Grand Isle, all caught on topwater. Tons of throwback trout caught that were just shy of 12"- must have released about 50 or so.
Fun day on the water.

Been hoping to find a damn Cobia to break in a new rod, for a few weeks. No luck so far.

It was the first "offshore" fish on my boat. I run a small 20 ft. Mako. Weather was perfect for it this weekend.

Yeah it was real nice out there but we all had to get back to BR

Congrats.
It was perfect Saturday but we didn't go very far out. Spent most of the morning chasing specs. Never could get on them. By the time we went out a little ways, it was early afternoon.
Sunday started off looking pretty good, and we got into some school trout, but around 9:00 it looked like the weather turned bad everywhere around us. Seemed like the Black Bay area got pounded pretty bad.

Fished out of Kern's Sunday morning in the yak. No topwater bite. Eventually figured them out and caught a few bass. Only a couple were keepers though.

45# whaoo, 60# yellow fin, 25# black fin,30# Dolphin
a bunch of small blackfin, 7 red snapper between 10-20 pounds and one vermillion snapper.
Got spooled by something monstrous out at Ursa. Took all the line from a Penn International 80. Will post a few picks tomorrow when i have a phone cable. Rode through one hell of a lightning show about 10 miles off the mouth of the river at 3 am. The pucker factor was high
