It's a tad outdated in the special effects, but it paved the way for many shows. It is GOAT status.

My wife and I started watching it last week. Really enjoyed the first few episodes.

Fringe is incredible.... (For as much as I know if x-files) it's just like a modern x-files but instead of mainly creatures, it's abstract scientific theories
Also has an all star character in Walter... Same level as Dr House, Cal Lightman, Ben Linus

Recommend. Great show. Get's a little sharkish in the later seasons but still worth a watch.

You can stop watching after Mulder leaves. The first season with Doggett was ok though. Once Scully leaves and its just Doggett and that other woman it got really shitty.

Heroes went from great to complete shite. X-Files went from great to decent to ok.
