cut him some slack, that's what all the national guys have been saying.... LSU fans that don't pay attention in recruiting will be surprised by how good this kid is.

Well to be fair, the OPs comparison was HS related.

Much to early to speculate - it's run by committee as opposed to Peterson - will never get the carries P did - this staff is smarter than that Ok dummy

Yeah those stats are very similar although Fournette will have the better college and NFL career. He's just a little bit heavier.

I think Fournette had more receiving yards than that. I believe he had 670+ just in his senior season.

As for the lofty comparison, I believe Fournette said he sees an All-American, Heisman candidate NC year in his freshman year. So to be fair, Fournette's putting some lofty expectations on himself.

High school numbers mean nothing when you step into the SEC and I think most LSU fans know that. But just because he's a freshman doesn't mean he can't come in and be awesome right away. If a player has it, I say put him in early as a freshman. You get the best talent out there and coach em up.

What's wrong with comparing the two coming out of high school? That seems very fair to me.

If anything, we want LF to be better off than Peterson. Dude kept hurting himself. Even into the NFL.

One is a proven All-Pro, the other is a proven high school All-American. That's about all you can compare right now

Actually both are proven high school all Americans. That's why he posted high school not college or nfl stats. So you can compare their high school stats and accomplishments. And it's pretty close.
