All the tips you need.

as for apps, the ones I use the most are pretty basic and universal

1. Check. allows me to pay bills on my phone.
2. Onenote. Started using for work and love it. very useful
3. Yahoo News
4. GroupMe
5. For music streaming, I have actually started using iTunes Radio instead of pandora and like it much more.
6. If you use Chrome on your computer, download the chrome browser for iPhone. It is good and plays well with your other chrome browser cloud preferences.
7. Chive.
8. The built in camera app is good, don't worry about downloading any other bullshite camera app.

Not sure what that means. It is just easier to get the functions out of it than Evernote. i have sat down with Evernote a few times and just never liked the layout while I sat down and had a good working model in 30 minutes on Onenote. As I've said in previous threads, I run the field operations of a construction company so I have a notebook to each ongoing job and can organize everything within each notebook. It lets me stayed connected with the office without having to send a ton of emails with photos, materials to get ordered and day to day job info.

Just one off the top of my head, if you plan to use Siri make sure you go into Settings>General>Siri and set the "my info" section to your contact info.

As far as apps, if you're coming from android just use the ones you used there.
