Is anyone aware of any organization that pairs deserving underprivileged youth with ticket holders willing to give away a few tickets during the season? If there isn't - shouldn't one exist?

TAF gives those tickets away sometimes.

of course, the kids still have to pay the tradition fund or no deal

There are usually kids outside the stadium looking to buy on the cheap. Of course many are looking to turn around and sell them at a profit rather than attend the game.

Some of you just live in a fantasy world where LSU can compete with Alabama by free parking and free tickets

Perhaps there can be some sort of promotion for the homecoming game, but otherwise that would be extremely difficult to pull off

I don't know of one that does it for underpriveledged kids, though some of the alumni chapeters do take terminally ill kids to games...

attending a game in tiger stadium as a child is actually what made me want to attend LSU, so I think there is some merit to your idea..hell, I have a half dozen or so tickets go unused every year that I might be willing to donate to a worthy cause...

This is not a "pat on my back" topic. On Thursday I asked Exec V.P of a VOA Lighthouse program if his agency wanted some tickets for a few games. He was appreciative and said he has some kids that really would like to attend a LSU game. Will be delivered to him when LSU sends them out in August.

I wasn't wanting a fight- was hoping that quite a few ticket holders see merit and want to come together on what might be a great cause with positive impact to our States communities.

Some of you may want to keep your shitty posting abilities on the OT, or risking losing your shitty posting privileges altogether.

my only questions would be that of accountability...how is it decided who gets the tickets?...how do we insure that the child actually gets to attend the game?...etc...

Haven't thought that all the way through yet but I can see some possibles. Would be great if TAF would get involved and assign something like an Advocate to distribute the tickets and monitor that they are being used on game days.

This can be a doable deal just depends on number of ticket holders we can get committed to a plan.

Now this is hard to believe - it appears a post & response have both been deleted by admin - sorry, but I take issue with admin.

My response to a post, not a quote, "not sure the alum would appreciate those types" at a game was this:

"Really? I have coached/sponsored many of "those types" in youth athletics. Like to think a made a difference ...."

Now if admin considers deleting this also, while I think this belongs on another board, the subject was raised here & should be discussed here.

Not that admin cares, but delete this post & I delete the bookmark & am done with the TD.

If this is the last thought I get to offer, it's' been fun for a few years. You guys & gals brought a little spirit into these late years.

Other than this instance, what exactly are you referring to as shite?

Your posting history in general. You suck.

We're willing to overlook some of your shite on the OT, but it will not be overlooked on here.

If you're gonna post on TR, then try real hard not to be a douche.
