Every time I resize mine the quality goes to shite. I see some people with really sharp ones, what's the trick?

Seriously though, post the image you want to use and someone will probably help.

I know that much but I was just wondering how it's done.

Well, you can't change height vs width ratio, that almost always turns the image to doggy doo.

And it can't exceed more than 30 kbytes, my Avi is in png and its just barely below that. That was a lot of work for me...

see if this doesn't help; it's been a while since i've used it and i haven't used it often, but i think it resizes while keeping quality...

That is what I use when making sigs. It lets you put in a number for how much you want it compressed. At 99, you barely see any changes in the images but it reduces the size greatly. Do the highest number you can to get it just under 30 kb
