We spent the weekend at a friend's camp in Butte LaRose. We go to leave this morning and the wife's yorkie jumps in the truck. My kid closes the door and the dog steps on the lock button. My keys were already in the ignition. My wife calls pop a lock and they said it'd be a couple hours before anyone could get there. She called the sheriff's office and they said they'd send an officer. I just knew he'd shoot the dog as soon as he got there. But he didn't, he was very nice and courteous and unlocked the truck and saved the day. I know most law enforcement agencies won't do this unless there is a kid in the car.

Again, thanks to the SMPSO for saving the day

This thread will only last a page or two since it's actually thanking a cop

One time I locked my keys in a car, and asked a cop to slim jim it. He said "we can only use the tool when we have probable cause or a warrant"
So he wouldn't do it.

I should have told him I had pot in there. Would have saved me $70.

Pop a Lock will now sue SMPSO for cheating them out of a paying customer.

I had a lutcher popo work on mine on Christmas Eve after the bonfires. The dick left to go to a shoot out and didn't even get my door open for me.

Fascist a-hole.

Should have asked him to leave the slim Jim and you finish the job. Give it back to the next cop you see because both of them didn't go to the shootout.

Own some property in St Martin parish and have had dealings with SMPSO over the years. They are some decent guys and gals working there. Shout out to them and their brethren in Iberia Parish as well.

You say it like its a joke...

But in all seriousness, this is the type of simple shite cops should take care of for the public if called upon.

Owned a lot of property in the Nina/ Henderson area, wives family from ST Martin Parish, and lived there for a little while.
She also has some relatives that worked for the dept for years.
Pretty good dept, good officers, and smarter than the over paid hacks at BRPD dept. They knew Derrick Todd Lee was a suspect in the rapes before BRPD had him on their radar.

When my mother in law passed away two deputy's waited at Gary memorial which is the local emergency room in Breaux bridge until we got there to give our last respects.

They live were they serve and know the people in the community.

Difference is night and day from POS lazy union thug BRPD officers.
