Heading there for the Astros series next weekend and looking for any thoughts on the stadium or advice on things to do before. I was planning on heading down there a couple hours early and grabbing some food in Chinatown

I've been. If you get club seats go get the bacon mac and cheeseburger

There's a great view of downtown Chicago from the upper deck concourse on the 3rd base side.
Also, I ordered a Chicago Style dog and it took the guy 10 mins to fix it, getting every pepper just right.

Not a bad park to take in a game. Tons of room to stretch out considering that White Sox fans don't support their team.

Very undersung ballpark experience, especially if you plan on tailgating, an activity that White Sox fans do far better than the fan base of any other MLB club. Serious brats washed down with beaucoup de Miller Light with the Poles and the brothers. No kidding, whenever I'm in Chicago, I go see a Sox game and then maybe if I have enough time, I'll go to the other park in town.

Parking is VERY expensive, but secure.
Great views of downtown Chicago skyline as you walk up the ramps to the upper seating area.
Decent stadium, shitty area- I was last there in 2011.

Nice, I'm sitting right behind home. Does the tailgating take place in a specific area or just the parking lot?

I've been once with my buddy from Chicago and we took the subway in to the game. Real easy. Funky thing about the park is the Upper deck is cut off from the rest of the ball park meaning if you have upper deck tickets you cannot access any part of the stadium.

Take the train. No reason to drive when the train let's you out right in front of the park. There is also Bacardi at the Park which is between the parking lot and stadium. They have a pretty cool outside area if you want to sit outside before game.

Nice I'll have to check that out. Any Chinatown recommendations? Was planning on going couple hours early and eating there before the game

Been to many games there...
If you are going to multiple games, I would recommend getting there early and sitting in the bullpen bar which will allow you to chat up the Astros players.

The fan deck in center field is pretty fun, and watching some of southside's finest use the pull showers in the outfield is unique/scary.
As for Chinatown, many good ones, but I like Lao Sze Chuan for its Dry Chili Chicken and Crispy Shrimp
