#Everton central defender Shane Duffy has joined Blackburn Rovers for £1.5m

He had the size and he's Irish! Oh well, good luck to him.

This kid had been training at Finch Farm for three months already. This seems sketchy to me.

For sure. Slightly troubling how many passes were intercepted today, but I guess it's better than how slow the attack looked at times last year.

What pleases me from this game is that the defense looked much more solid. Stones and Jags looked pretty good together. I'm glad Bobby is dropping the "have to have one left-footed, one right-footed defender" look. Just put your best defenders out there, and while I love Distin, he's been terribly out of form.

Damn, though. When McGeady and Mirallas run at defenders with confidence, we look scary good. Both with posession and on the break. Naismith is a little genius out there, too. Just wish his touch was more consistent.

Also liked Ossie as a sub. He's too old to run for 60+ minutes, but he can unlock a tired defense late.

Besic is one crazy motherfricker. He'll get a red soon enough.
