Matic is pretty dang disciplined and is almost always behind the ball. Gives Fabregas a lot more freedom going forward. He'll play behind the striker some too.

yeah, he's just not quite as mobile/defensively capable as a traditional CM in a 4-2-3-1. i think in bigger matches you'll drop oscar and start cesc as the no. 10.

Fabregas is back where he belongs position wise and in the league that suits him best. Great buy for Chelsea. Wish Arsenal wasn't so stacked in that area.

Eta: Cesc already leads the team in assists and was a creative force in the midfield. That's exactly what I was hoping for when we announced his signing.
