We are celebrating our 11th anniversary tonight, and we will be kid free for the first time since our youngest was born in February.

We've hit several Dallas spots in our two years here, but we are always looking for something new.

What do you guys recommend for a fun dinner - looking for great food and drinks in a relaxing atmosphere.

Appreciate the help in advance!

A couple of questions

What part of dfw do you prefer?

Cost?

Type of food? Anything you don't like?

Thanks dallastiger.

We enjoy the bishop arts area, we ate at Hattie's and Bolsa this week. We haven't really explored downtown or trinity mills.

We also have tried several in the Knox Henderson area. Victor tangos, the porch, fireside, etc.

We like really anything, but enjoy restaurants with fresh ingredients and evolving menus. Places where we can try new flavors and combinations. Hope that helps.

Ok when I get home from the gym I'll put together my recs

I am responsible for planning many of work dinners when corporate comes in town(2 alone this past week), so I've become a mini foodie. Lol

I love looking for new places. Standby and congrats on the anniversary

Stampede 66

Del Friscos

Kenny's Wood Fire Grill was pretty good and very reasonably priced.

Dish

The problem with the above mentioned and my places are that its short notice and you most likely need reservations but you never know

Kennys Woodfire in Addison is excellent and highly recommended

DISH is great

Meddlesome Moth is a cool gastropub with upscale food

Neighborhood services is very good

one place i took some guys from corporate this week is Javiers off Cole. it was very good and everyone loved it. its upscale mexican food and a great setting. has an attached cigar/wine bar.

also meso maya next to the original El Fenix is great downtown.

Bishop Arts is one of our fav areas. I love Enos and Bolsa and Hatties.

something my wife and i did was print out D magazines top 100 restuarants in Dallas for 2014.

here is the link, its a great resource. good luck and let us know where you go

D Magazine top 100

You're right........he may not need reservations to Kenny's.

I was very impressed with Kennys, especially for the price. I think the most exepensive dish on the menu was $32.99.

Kenny's is perfect for what he's describing. Badass atmosphere and cool vibe and food is perfect

Plenty of bars nearby also if you want a night cap

I'll throw Blind Butcher (Yelp) out there. Lower Greenville is really happening again. Blind Butcher is a good place to just drink too but you can also walk to Libertine, Bottle Shop (craft beer only), Single Wide, Dallas Beer Kitchen (craft beer only), Truck Yard (great outside area behind Trader Joe's) and several other places. For a sweet tooth fix, try Steel City Popsicle...an artisan Popsicle place. Sounds stupid but their stuff is really good. All these places are within a 100 yard radius of each other.

Thanks to all...we put all of these on our list as we like to try new places fairly frequently. Still undecided on tonight, but we don't mind waiting wherever we go because we don't have the kids or a babysitter to worry about!

We went to Terilli's on Greenville.

The food and atmosphere were outstanding! I've written down all of the suggestions that were offered -- restaurant weeks are coming up so we may try a few.

Not for an anniversary, but Sangria Tapas (near Javier's) is great. I get totally different things every time and haven't been disappointed yet.

For a fancier night out I like Bistro 31 in HP Village followed by drinks at whatever the bar is now called over the movie theater.
