Turn it in to the cashier? The manager?

Swipe the card and fill up?

Cut it up or shred it?

Leave it there?

Throw in trash can?

Make a Craig's list ad looking for owner?

Go on a shopping spree?

Hookers and blow?

1. Call the number on the back of the card.
2. Tell them you've found C.F. Frost's card and it should be cancelled.
3. Destroy the card.

C.F. Frost's bank will take care of the rest.

I think one of the major aspects of building credit is taking care of an item that is a direct link to your big money account.

I think if an owner of a credit card cannot handle the responsibility, like in this case, they should be penalized. There are people who can't get credit cards that are very responsible people, it's just that getting started with credit is a big step in and of itself.

I say report it to the bank!

If it was from a local bank, I'd turn it in to one of their branches in hopes they could find the owner.

Yea I wouldn't buy gas with it, I always have to put in my zip code, and wouldn't want to get that wrong.

The clerk might be a scumbag. Seriously. Just call the number on the back and explain it to the cc/bank's consumer protection folks. They'll cancel it and send a new one to the owner.

Then destroy the card.

I drove up to an ATM once and the screen says "Would you like another transaction?" Some dumbass had left his card in the machine. So, I hit "No" and get the card, look the guy up on FB, send him a message. He asks if I can then bring the card TO him because he was out, downtown. I should have stolen the douche's money, but noooo, I brought his damn card to him. He wasn't even that grateful.
