success at using deposits with a phone

Maybe its my past or current phones -iPhone or s4 (current). But I've had zero success at making a deposit through taking a picture. I dont get many checks - one a month maybe, just I'd like to have this option work once.

It is not your phone - it is chase.
When taking the picture, get close enough that a small part of left and right boarders do not show....snap the pic...for some reason when chase's software processes the pic it make it smaller - and the numbers are not picked up correctly it at all.

I use a 4s as well. Make sure the background is really dark. I have a dark wood desk that I take them on...works every time. Tried a few on a light colored counter and it was hit n miss whether it would get accepted.

I have an S4 and Schwab and never have issues. I take it on a black desk and point a lamp at it.

Still not working - it might be the check its a little more "long" than most checks.

Usaa uses an automatic focus so it basically takes the photo and boom it's in your account that second.

5s with Ally and never had an issue, other than a reimbursement check from work that had an odd layout.

Oddly enough, I do exactly this myself, including the S4, Schwab, and the black desk and lamp. Been doing it basically since the S4 came out.

I've only had one issue with Whitney where it couldn't pick up the amount no matter how many times I tried for some reason. Other than that one time I've had no problem with it and love it. Eliminates an errand.

I use the chase app to deposit checks any time I get one. Never had a problem.

ive used chase app with 3gs and s3 and never had any issues.
