I'd try to take the opportunity to watch it at one of the bars around Wrigley. IMO those are some of the best sports bars in the country....not sure how they handle Champions League soccer but I imagine you should be able to get in one that will have a nice crowd for a game like Pool vs Real.

Todays line-up should be interesting.

You have to think Allen will be in there given that he's supposedly fit again and was on the bench last weekend.

You have to think that Sterling starts - but can you then play him this weekend again?

I can't imagine Lambert as our starting forward today, but maybe he can do a better job than Balo in linking up with the forward runs from the midfield? Or does Brendan switch it up and start two forwards so that Balo can play off of someone else?

I really like the idea of two forwards. Balo seems like he is having trouble because he can't free roam and make things happen, he is too busy looking to create. At least that is how it looks to me...

I've seem Carra suggest this and it gather some steam by others... Sterling should start as a false nine and Balo should sit...

I kinda like the idea of pairing Sterling up top with Balo in a diamond, with Phil at the tip and Allen, Hendo and Gerrard rounding out the MF... Perhaps, Allen the deepest of the 3

No matter the lineup or outcome, I am really looking forward to this match!

Yep. I've seen this:

------------Sterling------------
Lallana-------------------Cou
------Allen----------Hendo-------
------------Gerrard------------

I can't see Brendan not starting a true forward

I'm scured guys

I know Madrid have never beaten us but we've been shite all season and they haven't. And I love Balo as much as the next guy, but Brenden needs to pair him up with someone up top or sit him. He just can't be the lone striker, because that's not how he plays. It's simple really, and it's no coincidence that our best game was against Spurs when *gasp* we had a healthy Studge paired up with Mario.

But I hope the streak will live on today

About what I expected.

If we're down 1 with 30 to go, I expect Lambert has got to come on to give us two up top.

Kind of the personnel I expected, is the speculation that its a diamond or 4-3-3?

About to break away and head to the hotel to watch... I have another "meeting" to attend

Serious Question: Do y'all think BR will give Lambert a starting run in the team if Balotelli doesn't find his form soon? Or will he continue to go with Balotelli until he finds his feet(so to speak)?

He'll continue with Balo until Studge comes back most likely

Lambert hasnt been any better IMO...

I am all for letting Mario play through this bad run of form... But, I hope Daniel is back soon!

Thanks. I really haven't seen Lambert play much in a Liverpool shirt and was curious as to whether he might see some time as a starter. I know it's a tricky situation. Players like Balotelli rely on confidence and consistent opportunities, so you'd want to give him the time he needs because he's special when he gets going.
