Congrats on turning a profit for the first time in 7 years

Feels good man. It wasn't so long ago that Roy Hodgson was unveiling his big signing of Joe Cole.

Yikes... I think with FSG and BR we're in some good hands, I hope we can sign one or two big names this summer to go along with our stockpile of young talent, and really push for the title next season

Crazy to think we went from the brink of administration to where we are now in such a short amount of time. 46% increase in commercial revenue (albeit a good bit from the new TV deal). FSG don't get near the credit they deserve for turning our dumpster fire 180 degrees around.

Basically your old owner tried to do what the glazers did but failed at it really really bad. A week away from admin.
Only a nut case like Bhoy would wish that on his rivals.

That highlighted stretch won't be fun.
Newcastle at home? we might win 10-0.
As long as we get the obligatory Jonjo own goal or backpass, Swansea is winnable. They lost a lot of their threat with Bony and he was always a matchup nightmare for us.
If everyone can stay healthy, we have one of the more favorable schedules left.
If we could steal points from Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea, how huge would that be?
We're so due for a bit of luck at the Bridge, way overdue.

Agreed. A season without the Northwest Derby wouldn't be a season worth watching.

I could prob live with it short term... there's still the Merseyside Derby

Not even close to the same thing. I'm talking about competitive derbies, not a glorified League cup type game against a Championship side.

Ha, there's still part of me that would LOVE to see that... frick 'em!
It will never happen, so I'd settle for them hovering around 7-8 for a few year spell.. that would suffice..

What are you guys thinking for the lineup?
I'm thinking it'll be:
------sturridge-------
--Cou-------------Sterling--
Moreno-Hendo-Allen-Markovic
Sakho----Skrtel----Lovren
-----------Migs-----------
I'm just basing this on Can needing a rest, Sturridge needing confidence, and Sakho coming back from injury

Trying to get through some shite at work, so I can watch... should be able to catch the 2nd half, at least..

Yeah it depends if Sakho is fit, too. If not, then Can starts and Lovren shifts over

I'll say this too, Sturridge needs to find some confidence. I'll be okay with him bagging a hat trick

I think that'll be the lineup.
And here' hoping for more Coutinho no look karate assists

Don't forget Lallana? Not sure if he gets dropped.
Will be interesting to see what we come out with.

Yeah it was either Sterling or Lallana. I think Sterling's movement works better with Studge so that's why I put him in. It could be either IMO

Agreed, I'm 100% ok with either, and use them to sub if we need a different look.
I think Sturridge probably get the go with Sterling, although Lallana has been a bit cleaner in attack than Sterling. Maybe time for another Sterling rest, he's play a TON this season.

I had Can out originally. I read somewhere that he's started 18 straight games so I figured Burnley would be a good place to rest him
