Andre Johnson has informed the Texans he wants to play for another team in 2014, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

According to the report, four teams have shown interest in trading for Johnson, who is the Texans’ all-time receiving leader in receptions, yards and touchdowns.

gotta love how Andre's restructured his deal the past 3 years because the team asked him to and now the Texans are strong-arming him over a million dollar bonus.

This has been known for a long time. Glad he made it official and hopefully can move on. He's been nothing but a consummate professional in Houston.

And this is why they can't have good things.

Except for trying to force a trade now by threatening to not show up for work.

I love my Texans, but I'm on Andre's side here. I wonder if he leaves and wins a Super Bowl with someone else if he will enter the HOF with them. That'd be sad.

ummm, they aren't strong arming anyone. Andre Johnson is pouting about a rebuild, he decided he wasn't going to show up to OTAs, his contract had a roster bonus for attending, he did not, he does not get the money

I've always like Andre, he's the best player in franchise history, but I'm over it. Tell him and his agent to broker a deal and get him the hell outta here. It will sting, but enough is enough. They redid his deal 3 times when they didn't have to, and now he bitching about not getting money he didn't earn (the $1M roster bonus for OTAs)

After doing everything possible for the team for over a decade. Playing for shite team after shite team and never saying a word. He's in the twilight of his career and their lack of concern on addressing the QB issue was the final straw. No one blames him except maybe a few fools.

I have no issue with him doing this.

He has been a true pro his whole career.

At this point he has a right to ask to move on.

He's been saying this for a couple months now

He has no leverage in this unless he reduces his salary to go to another team

This^

The Texans paid him when he wanted it and he's pouting that the team now sucks. I'd try to send him to Oakland for a 3rd round pick and make him play with Schaub again.

Yeah, I gotta side with Johnson on this one. I've always liked him as a player.

You don't enter the HOF with a team like baseball

After years and years of being an absolute class act. He has never been the typical WR prima donna.

He is 32 and time is running out on winning a super bowl. It won't happen in Houston in the next 2 or 3 years before he has to retire.
