Yeah he went through terrible depression, got H1N1, got divorced, even worse depression and anxiety, all in between books 2 and 3.

Looks like for the past 2 years or so he's been in a good place and should crank out books again. He has a gf that is also a fantasy author, and so on.

Yes. Great books.

After reading those I picked up the first book of the Malazan Book of the Fallen series. I'm about halfway through the 2nd book now and it's a pretty good read. Although, Erikson does overuse certain words, like ochre and febrile.
