Has music ever changed your life?

It has saved mine. Three years ago when I was 16 and my girlfriend broke up with me I was in a state of depression and my life was spiraling out of control. I quit my job at Lids because I couldn't concentrate and I lost interest in all of my school work. But one day I was sitting in a Wendy's parking lot at 2 AM crying and thinking of my ex when someone drove by playing a drake song, I googled some of the lyrics to find the song and gave it a listen. Thankfully, around this time is when "Take Care" came out and that album which is one of the best rap albums of all time (also won a Grammy). This album changed my life and gave me the motivation I needed to get my life back on track. That album made me the man that I am today and without it I don't know where I would be.

One evening I was in the bottom of a sack of some meth made out of a Mountain Dew bottle, and had pretty much grinded my top two teeth down to a nub, when a man busted through my door and forced himself upon me. He knocked me unconscious and I would wake up the next day with all my stuff stolen and a sore anus. I thought my life was over. I bought a bottle of Black Velvet, drank it all, and then put a BB gun to my temple to end it all. That is, until Smash Mouth's Allstar came on...I found Jesus that very next day and became the man I am today
