Bacon Ideas

I'm sure this has been done before but I was craving a snack the other day, so I looked in the fridge and saw a packet of bacon in the bottom and had this idea pop in my mind. Grabbed it and turned on the broiler, grabbed a pan and laid them out and covered it in a generous portion of of brown sugar, and smoothed out the brown sugar to cover the entire strip of bacon. Popped it in the oven and let it broil. Waited till it curled up, took it out and flipped it, let it crisp up. With that brown sugar caramelized on both sides it tasted mighty nice. It's quick, simple and tasty (it's bacon after all).

I do that, except a brown sugar cinnamon mix. It's good.

Wrap a third of a piece around a piece of watermelon rind pickle and bake. Try it. It is real good.

I've done the cinnamon and it is pretty good. It smells like thanksgiving ham. I'm thinking about swapping out the cinnamon for some apple pie spice next time.

Fry it crisp and crumble over vanilla ice cream. Then drizzle a bit of honey over that.
