Sooo...

Is Man U really gonna go with a 3-man backline?

Whether that's true or not, he was certainly not brilliant today.

Eh, I'm just having a little fun...

I don't see anything particularly brilliant he's done, including the Krul sub... but he put his team in a good position to get to the finals, so credit where it's due... Now he can plot the destruction of the rest of the EPL...

Not when it counted. Dutch didn't score a goal in the last 240 minutes. Essentially told his keeper last game "I don't believe in you enough to get us to the next round in a penalty shootout." Came back and bit him tonight when he needed Cillessen. Oh and let's not forget that he let Ron Vlaar take the first penalty.

Neither team really did anything of note to deserve to go through.

Penalties always go to those who want to take them. Huntelaar was probably fourth because that's normally the decisive penalty.

He switched to a 3-5-2, and it's heresy to play anything other than a 4-3-3 in the Netherlands.

It was a brutal game to watch - back passes and 10 behind the ball all night.

Blech.

Nah

Mourinho, Rodgers, Redknapp, Martinez, Pellegrini, Wenger, and I guess I'll stop there but could probably go on.

Glad United hired his negative arse honestly.

As a Man United fan I can't think of a manager I would want more. (minus Martinez)

I think he will do fine. I didn't see the whole game today, but what it looked like both sides playing for a draw.
It could be worse, Moyes would still be in if he didn't look like a beat dog after each match. All he had to say was something to the effect of, "After loosing this match were going to train harder, improve, and come back better."
