Gregg Popovich has agreed to a contract extension, Spurs say in release. I had been told he was eager to coach another 4-5 years.

The Spurs should have some cap space next offseason if Ginobli and Duncan retire. Maybe they'll be easier for the Pelicans to beat when Duncan retires, but with Parker and Pop sticking around they'll probably be able to plug in new pieces and keep the machine rolling

Damn, Monty Sr., go away. Even when Duncan/Manu go, they will have cap space and guys lining up to play for him.

Thats ok, youth will prevail.

I think it's great. My second favorite team. Sucks that they're in our division.

With the recent trend of hiring veteran players right out of retirement as head coaches, it wouldn't surprise me if Manu was considered a candidate for a head coaching job next year or the year after.
