Hobby Lobby pays good wages

I don't agree with their aggressive evangelism. I don't agree with them that an IUD = an abortion. And I don't agree that pro-Christian bible propaganda should be taught in public schools.
However, they deserve praise for paying their employees a good wage. Their minimum wage is $14 an hour. And they give half of their earnings to charity. Hobby Lobby is owned by nice people.

You read Christian Post? I'm a bit surprised.
I do agree with you though. They run their business and pay their employees very well.

Its amazing they have any money left to wage their war on women... I mean shite, Iraq costs over a trillion dollars, one would think a ware on women across the nation would cost more

I appreciate the sentiments in your OP, but can you clarify these two points for me?
How does HL "aggressively evangelize?" And how do they affect what is taught in public schools?

You know I find it interesting that most Christian owned business go the extra mile to pay their employees a livable wage and give them good benefits because they feel that is what the bible teaches. Yet when they are consistent in living by those beliefs and it cost them a few contraception options their wrath descends upon a company that is doing much of what they ask corporate companies to be. You can't have it all.
On a related note did you know that Guinness beer was started by a minister and they provided a lot of great benefits before it was the usual thing for companies to do?

if they ran their business well, they would be open on Sundays.
And have more checkers. I don't frequent hobby lobby for these two reasons. if whatever reason I went to hobby lobby over michaels, the check out process takes 30 minutes. At least.

Their corporate and management meetings are heavily evangelized.
They are trying to bring the bible back into public schools. They have funded a program in Oklahoma (I believe) to bring bible studies as an elective into the public school system. They have funded the publishing of a book to be used in this class.
It is not a nondenominational class. It is pro-Christian propaganda that answers questions such as "How the bible is a historically accurative narrative."
That is the exact same garbage you will see in an evangelical Christian bible school.

And? I'm as critical of the bible thumpers as the next guy, but they are not a publicly traded company. They can do whatever the frick they want to do. You don't HAVE to work for them.

Evangelized means they are trying to convert people to Christ.
I highly doubt they are doing that in "meetings"
But I wouldn't doubt they open in prayer or end in prayer.
that's not evangelism.. It's just prayer bro..
