I'm surprised that no one has started a thread about this already. If MSNBC has these audio recordings, surely FOX News and Rush Limbaugh have them.

Is that the one where she laughs about getting a rapist off or something?

IDk about the rest of the posters but I watched 30 min of msnbc last night and I meet my yearly limit on stupidity.

Yep, and it was a guy who raped and beat the crap out of a 12-year-old girl and she knew he was guilty. This certainly doesn't shore up her feminist bona fides.

If I remember correctly, someone posted about it a little while back on here.

I haven't heard the tapes myself though.

She didn't get a rapist off. She convinced him to take a plea deal actually. She was a public defender, doing her job. And the right wing thinks we should hate her for it.

This is politics. Don't act like you don't know how the game is played.

The fact that she laughed about it can definitely hurt her.

Is that the game where factual reality is 100% irrelevant to every single right winger?

The folks on MSNBC didn't brush it off as casually as you did.

As relevant or irrelevant as a candidate's wife's horse?

Really? Lets not get into a game of "which political party takes their opponent's quotes out of context for political gain."

The partisan schtick is tiresome.

She laughed about what she did. Was she correct in defending the man as well as she could? Yes. Should she have laughed about it at any time, in any context? No.

Your past follows you and the smallest, inconsequential actions can turn out to be harmful.

Plus, in the grand scheme of politics, you aren't the intended audience. You already have your opinions, and from what I've seen on here, they are nigh unchangeable (which makes me wonder why you even watch politics or discuss it).

It is because he is attempting to make this about the actual case, when in reality, it involves her laughing about the case afterwards.
