Can't say that I feel sorry for him possibly never getting a chance to go to a World Cup now. He had his chance.

The story really hasn't come out aside from this swipe from an interview but obviously Rossi didn't react well to being left off the 23 man roster.
Supposedly the rest of the squad didn't like it either. The first thing that did come out after the loss to Uruguay was how strongly the rest of team didn't want Fantonio Cassano.

He supposedly had some meltdown at a cleaning lady that caused the hotel manager to refer to him as "that one who's obviously not right in the head". Maybe he thought she should should be delivering him 2 prostitutes and then a plate of imported Italian cornetti like he says they did when was at Real Madrid.
He also seemingly had dust ups with every veteran on the team over complaining about training and not playing against England.
Not to disappoint regarding criminally untelevised WC high point but rumor is that Buffon may have slapped Cassano at some point.
I'll picture it true mafia style: holding the chin in one hand and slapping him both front and then back handed.
