Looking to pay a lot less for my phone. T-Mobile sucks around me so that isn't an option. Is Straight Talk literally the same towers as ATT or is there some catch?

ST buys coverage from all 4 major carriers. Buy an ATT phone and a SIM from ST, and youll be using ATT towers. no roaming however.

If/when you hit the 3GB limit you will be "throttled" down to roughly 4kbps. Shouldn't really be an issue normally but be prepared if you need to use a lot of data one month.

Other than that, I love it and the price.

I use AT&T via Net10. Works great. Just jump on wifi when possible. $45 per month using Galaxy S3

The wife and I have been on ST for about 3 years. We couldn't be happier. She is constantly interwebing on her phone at work and has yet to be throttled, even though they say you will be. I just upgraded to thier ATT LTE sim when I got my Nexus 5, and it's legit. I couldn't imagine using anything else at this point.

The biggest thing to look at is which towers your phone will use. Mine uses an AT&T SIM and I'm currently running on 4G LTE.

In fact, we went to Nashville for the Fourth and a buddy of mine didn't have coverage somewhere in the boonies in KY while my phone did. It was only for a minute or two, but still.
I don't think the speeds are quite as great, but my coverage has been great so far.
