If you go by the state letter grades, it scored a "B" in 2013. LINK (link requires you to choose the district/school you want to view)

It's like the special Olympics silver medal winner. You're proud of it but look at the competition.

Look up the discipline stats and ask yourself if you want your kid going to school with that many kids who weren't raised with a father around and have no respect for anyone. I love my kids. I wouldn't do it.

I went to school with a lot these type of kids. Are you saying my parents didn't love me?

To the OP, I have neighbors who send their kids there and they have said nice things about it. If you look at the attendance zone it covers a small, fairly affluent area, so you're not getting kids from the ghetto.

It is a very good school. It would be an A school if it did not lose kids to gifted and magnet programs.

Considering the schools in the SE portion of the parish lose a lot of the highest IQs to gifted and magnet schools, the schools score pretty close to the schools in P-ville and better than the schools in Denham Springs.

My brother went there when they first opened so I am not sure how much things have changed but he said there was the occasional fight and the things you'll see at every public middle school but not a bunch of drugs and guns like you can find at other middle schools in the area. If you are comparing to other public middle schools then that is a good place to go. If you are comparing to private schools, stick with private schools.

The average score for elementry schools in the SE portion of EBR is 94. Average score of Livingston Parish schools with attendance zones bordering the SE portion of EBR is 86. The average score of Ascension parish schools bordering EBR is 103.
If the performance from kids living in SE EBR but attending gifted or magnet schools outside of that area is added to the area's score, the SE area's elementary score is 107.

Based on data from school performance scores, EBR does a better job educating elementary students in the SE portion of EBR than Ascension and Livingston parish do in bordering schools.

The idea that all EBR schools are bad is a myth.

Most Blessed Sacrament; it's in Woodlawn's backyard.
