Buddy of mine working over in Texas said a guy whose rv is parked next to him caught a tagged redfish. Is was a Texas wildlife and fisheries tag. Turn it in a get a t shirt/ice chest or something.

If I did catch one without being registered, I'm not telling anyone. For two reasons. Embarrassment and fishing that spot hard the rest of the year

i think paying 50 bucks to play this stupid game is a waste and laugh when people tell me i'm stupid. if every fisherman in saltwater louisiana fished, that would be millions and millions of dollars. they give out a couple of hundred thousand of dollars in prizes.
cca is making bank on this and funny how fishermen tell others to do it. giant ponzi scheme. then they come back and say the cca is doing good stuff for our coast. yeah rite! haven't seen one meaningful thing they've ever done except give stickers for people to put in their back windows.

Redfish population in Louisiana is very strong and I attribute that to CCA. They will continue to get my money.

Never seen financials , but I did have A drunken convo with a pretty hot lobbyist for CCA a few years back

I truly think they've done some good on certain species. I think there's work to be done to help our coastal environment. And I think a lot of money is wasted. But its better than anything else we've got going. Very similar to the NRA. Not how I would do it exactly, but still the best option.
