2014 Football Parking Map
Posted by Ponchy Tiger on 7/7/14 at 7:37 pm00
I see that some changes have been made to gameday parking. My group usually sets up in the levee lot between the soccer and softball fields. Specifically next to the road / parking area for the softball staff. I noticed on the map that levee lot has been cut in half apparently. This includes the area we set up. I knew that the hayfield lot had been reduced because of construction, but does anyone have a idea what is going on with the levee lot?

Pretty sure you tailgate next to me.
One of my friends went a couple weeks ago and took pics of the area and reported that the area is still clear as of now.
After looking at the map, it looks like an extension of the gravel paid lot. That can't be right.

That would be lot 406? I passed there during baseball season and most of it was fenced off. Looked like they were fixing to pave it.

I think I know who you are. I have the two purple tents with the sidewalls to your right if your back is to the concrete.

I seem to remember that. I usually have a big ice chest stereo on my tailgate.

Ponchy Tiger, I emailed LSU regarding this and I got good news back.

There is no difference to Lot 406 for the upcoming season. The strip that wraps around the park is the paved portion of that area that has always been part of Lot 406. All the grass area is still part of the free parking Levee Lot for football.

Yeah, had me confused. After seeing this thread last night, I texted everyone who tailgates with me about it and told them to prepare for a move.
