Well, I wonder HOW that happened??

Nearly 1300 pages of new regulations concerning obama-scam werer released over the 4th of July Holiday weekend.

quote:

As Americans scrambled ahead of the July Fourth holiday weekend on Thursday afternoon, the Department of Health and Human Services released 1,296 pages of new regulations dealing with payment rates to doctors and hospitals.

The timing of the news release is part of a long pattern for President Obama's administration, which has often used holidays as an opportunity to dump dense regulatory changes when most reporters and Americans are focused on their holiday plans.

These people have NO SHAME.

More red-tape and paperwork nightmares for the doctors & hospitals to deal with.

Relax folks--these are proposed rules. And proposed rules are subject to public comment for a defined comment period. One can even ask to have the comment period extended. This is the normal process for regulations.

You folks are unreal. Everything is a conspiracy or Obama is clearly breaking the law. This thread insinuates they are pushing out regulations over a holiday weekend that will immediately go in to effect. That's not true that isn't the law controlling federal regulations. I'm no huge fan of Obama but I try to at least criticize with some factual basis.

345 posts, WF. You....MIGHT....be a low-info poster. Unless you've been lurking for years.

Bottom line. It's real here. We know that EVERYTHING with Obama is political. When your electric bill "necessarily skyrockets" next year, thanks to REGULATIONS...you might not be so relaxed. And God only knows what else with that open border down there.

Welcome to the fray.

Not according to the article linked. Bolded words are pretty self-explanatory.

quote:

I don't see the word "proposed" anywhere in the article.

If all these things are so innocuous, then why does he always use holidays and dead periods to release them?

I have no idea. The only impact is to shorten the public comment by 3 days, if no one reads them over a holiday period. But then again anyone can ask for the comment period to be extended. Every federal agency has to follow this very process when promulgating regulations. You release them and you have a comment period as the first steps in that process.
