Based off extensive research, I'd say Navy because of Ice Man.

Interesting handle to start this topic.

So you pick Navy because you like Top Gun?

fighter pilots as a rule, have their shite together, most Navy and Marine fighter pilots, and I've worked tons of them, are pretty cool, sometimes you'll see a guy that's wrapped a little tight, air force fighter pilots are good shits too, but, in my opinion, because of the sheer numbers, a few more goobs(Scott O'Grady,) have the chance of falling through the cracks, I'm not including anyone shuffled through the program for PC reasons,

Good observation but no. Navy pilots are the only pilots in the world to land on a aircraft carrier day and night good or bad weather. Not to mention the fact that the flight deck pitches and rolls with the ocean. Tough stuff. Just my opinion.

Air force have superior aircraft,

Yet at Top Gun in Fallon, Navy pilots in an F-18 would better the Air Force in F-22. 3 out of 5 times.

I won't even go into the disadvantages the Super Hornet has on the Raptor.

Navy now uses ACL. (Automatic Carrier Landing)
Not to take anything away from navy pilots, but they don't land themselves unless they have to.

True. Forgot that Marine Squadrons were complementing Carrier Strike Groups.

I wouldn't get hung up on the fact that they do carrier landings as a criterion for determining what makes a good fighter pilot. It does take skill, but it is a learned skill that is not arcane to those who are in the Navy/Marines. The AF/Navy do exchanges from time to time, so there are actually AF pilots that are at times, carrier qualified.

I think the Hornets are smoked in Beyond visual range scenarios. Dogfighting is another story.

I don't know but it's been said that Air Force wings are made of lead.

I don't know but I've been told that Navy wings are made of gold.

Hate to call you out here, but have you seen this first hand?

If not, sit down and be quiet.

well, that's the whole key to the Raptor, you will never see it, while the older block fighters are bulls in a china shop looking for it, dogfighting, or "knifefighting" as it's called, is kind of an individual thing, you are not the best simply because you are Navy, AF, etc., all the training is done to pretty much the same standards, I went to a Navy winging ceremony a while back, and half of the guys graduating that day were in the AF
