I've already cancelled my reservations at Peche:

Move over never-ending breadsticks, here comes never-ending mozzarella sticks!

But the bargain comes with a big caveat: you can only get refills of the same appetizer, such as potato skins, mozzarella sticks, or Tuscan Spinach Dip.

The deal is ideal for sharing with a big group.

But Fridays' Chief Marketing Officer Brian Gies told USA Today that the chain discourages sharing appetizers, although he conceded that the guideline wouldn't be enforced.

"At the end of the day, our servers aren't policemen," Gies said. "We're not going to slap someone's hand if they reach over and share someone else's mozzarella sticks."

So.. it's $10 unlimited of the same item, and then you're getting stink-eyed and possibly even scolded by an employee for ordering these unlimited apps for the table.. ?

You have to order them for yourself individually and then sneak-share them?

Sounds like you get to sneak, and not get scolded - what more do we want as a society?!

SERIOUSLY! How misleading. I could have totally envisioned a night when I just got absolutely plowed with some buddies and went in and chowed down on a couple different apps for like two hours. Of course, I don't even know where there is one in NOLA, but that's not the point.

I feel like this restriction is fundamentally un-American. Support America. Support obesity. Step your game up, TGI Fridays.

It's that damn sense of entitlement that's gonna kill all the fun of it!

Good question!

You just reminded me of the one time I visited Pancho's when it reopened in Metairie for a little while.

Some guy was getting their special enchiladas off the trough or something nasty like that - he told the staff member, "Go ahead and put some more grease on there."

I had the flag taken from my table at Pancho's once.
Never went back.
