Same as last yr, i think it's the best they can do within the federal restrictions, although the 5 day splits are not ideal. The one change I might make would be moving the west split 1 wk to match the east. Doesn't really affect me tho.

I just hope more ducks get here sooner than last yr. It's hard learning to duck hunt when there ain't no ducks. I'm looking forward to this season tho.

East Zone works for me since I generally come back home to the Mecca for Turkey week, right after Christmas till New Years, and the last weekend with maybe a trip here or there depending on who is killing.

but told commissioners they may also want to consider opening on Nov. 15 with either a five-day split or a 12-day split. The latter option would bump the season closure to Jan. 25.

I would love to see the later option for the coastal zone. I can't stand opening 2 weeks before Ark. and closing that early

I agree, but notice and comment periods are there for a reason.

lreynolds@wlf.la.gov

edit: Larry doesn't set the dates, but he's our representative to the commission and he takes every comment seriously. I've talked with him already and he said the numbers are growing as far as people calling in, and he's going to summarize everything we tell him and present it to the commission before they make the decision. Please email him and tell him how you feel about it.
