Lead the charge Texas...
Posted by nsudemon10 on 7/6/14 at 11:47 pm11
What would the Feds do if the border states collectively secured the border by any means necessary. Such as the national guard, fences, walls, etc.. I believe Gov. Perry said that the state was going to try and secure it in some capacity. What can Obama actually do, especially if Texas was joined together with all gulf border states? We don't need Guys thousands of miles away making decisions on the sovereignty of our state. Hey! Construction boom for the south! lol

Obama would federalize the guard immediately, pointing out "vigilantism" and jurisdictional overreach by the states. He would likewise point out the humanitarian crisis that tugs at the hearts of all Americans with the thousands of hungry kids.

Preciate your interest in the Valley

Tell Mexico the deaths will be on their shoulders not ours. If it is really that much of a humanitarian issue, then we should not be the only ones doing something about it.

I would enforce the laws we are not enforcing and end this political charade once and for all. Put up a barrier and make them enter legally. With all the terror going on in the middle east it might not be a bad idea to secure the flood gates of OUR homeland... If I lived in Indiana I may not be so worried but we too close. We are already seeing the illegals pour in through Baton Rouge. Last Saturday I took my 5 year old to the McDonalds in Denham Springs by the interstate and it was packed from wall to wall with illegals @ 8 am.....

Many argue about texas not being the south and Texas being Texas.... But when push comes to shove the south is united with Texas.. If Texas falls, we all fall..I really believe this is Obamas long-term plan....Slowly let them through the gates and delay, delay, delay.. More votes his way in trying to turn the old Texas into his new Texas..

They all looked like they have been wearing the same clothes for weeks and none of them spoke any English. I didn't notice any cars for them. It was like they got dropped off on a field trip. Just saying. When you know you know. It wasn't construction workers either....If that was your thinking. When you know, you know..Thats not what you normally see @ 8am in Livingston parish for sure..

I don't think that necessarily infers they are illegals. Could have work visas. Lots of migrant workers travel in groups and speak little if any english. Likewise with construction crews that have visas. See a lot of both here in Alabama. Have for years.

If Texas catches them what do they do? Turn them over to ICE? What good is that?
You could just send them back to Mexico on the spot, which is what should be done. The Mexicans are responsible, don't tell me they are not aiding and abetting this. Let them handle it.

Give them food, water, a trowel, and enough mortar and brick to build a 2ft section of wall each. It would take about 2,640 illegals per mile, and about 5,158,560 to build a wall the entire 1954 miles of border. Pretty sure there are more than that here already. Problem would solve itself pretty quick.

I would be pissed if I paid $12,000 to cross the border and ended up in Denham Springs.

We're finding out that Mr. Perry is, to use a famous Texas phrase, "All hat and no cattle."
