Is it cultural opposition to technology? Inefficient enforcement of property rights? War? Exploitation?

Also, why are countries in the southern hemisphere (besides Australia and New Zealand) so much shockingly less developed than the North?

I mean, we could list every bad thing that is humanly possible and that list would be all encompassing. So, where do you want to go from there? Talk solutions?

Why is corruption not a problem in Northern nations. I mean, all nations everywhere are ruled by fallible people.

I have an evolutionary theory that is probably very controversial.

Human species that were forced to plan by seasonal changes built more of today's more advanced and successful and thus not poor societies. In other words the tribes that were unable to plan due to seasonal changes died off due to famine and other forces brought about by seasonal changes (especially very cold winters) over the millennia.

Then there is the other end of the spectrum where human species was only faced with temperate yearly temperatures. No planning was required thus that trait was never naturally selected among the human species.

This theory assume that most "poor" countries are located in temperate or non-seasonal locations.

Ok, but those are just the means of a successful society. The question is why guns, germs, and steel (or any other manipulation of natural resource)?

G/G/S may explain why western culture became so advanced, but in today's world, it can easily be copied

the issue is whether nations want to copy our superior culture or continue to value their shitty cultural values instead

From my travels I see countries sometimes right next to one another with situations and opportunities totally one hundred and eighty degrees opposite of each other. Same basic topography and resources. The one thing I have noted that countries were once under British rule or influence tend to be in better shape generally speaking. The worst being Spanish influenced countries. It's an observation I know but has been consistent over travels for many years.

If you look at the infrastructure the colonial powers built and left...... The locals can never improve upon it
