My paw paw passed this down to me and I just got around to going pick it up. This gun is still in its original box with all the original paperwork. Has never had a set of hands placed on it. Not a single fingerprint. Just for kicks, what would something like this be worth? I'd never sell but the curiosity is getting to me

Please post a picture and it's more than likely Belgium made

ETA: sorry for the crappy pictures. And I believe it was Belgium made. Paw paw picked them up in front on Dow chemical in Plaquemine from a guy selling them out of his truck for $200.

I haven't dug to deep into it yet but all I found out was date made which was 1976. Thanks for the direction to check this out

I have that same gun. I love it but my gun smith says it is a piece of shite.
I hate opinionated people that hang out at gun and bow shops. They hate everything that isn't the one they use.

Next time he says that, ask him if he'd feel comfortable on the other end of it There's a difference between someone giving an opinion and just being a plain a-hole for no reason. Piece of shite or not, it's a beautiful gun

I have one my grandpa passed down to me just like that. Its got a few scratches though.
Nice find
He also gave me a bunch of other guns before he passed away. One is his 1897 Winchester 12 guage. Sawed the barrel off getting ready for the revolution. He is still the only Quaker (amish) that I have heard of that was in the Klan.

that's awesome. My grandparents worked the gun shows and I was at every single show since I was a kid so I've seen some amazing firearms pass through their house and on their table. Post pics of that shotgun!!

Looks like these aren't really worth a whole lot. Between $400-$600 probably

I moved all my guns to my dad's house in Nola. I just have my baretta over under for geese and clay shooting and two hand guns up here. One is from gramps though. Nice little derringer cop 2.

I'd bet non of those are still in the box and wrapper though. That's worth quite a bit right there.
A good friend's dad web tot the sporting goods store when he found out that Browning was moving production from Belgium to Japan on the A-5s. He went to the local sporting goods store and bought every A-5 they had (12, 16, and 20). I think it was about 15 total. He still owns them today and most still have plastic on the boxes. Those are worth a small fortune now.

Wow that's awesome. Kind of what my paw paw did. Guy had 25 for sale in his truck and my pawpaw bought all of them for $257. He kept 3 and put the rest on $500 football boards and doubled his profit haha

Belgian Browning never fired and in the box would bring some pretty nice bucks. Take it to a gun shop and ask them.

Yea looks like that's what I'll have to do to get an accurate price. I'd never sell it but just want to know what I've got my hands on
