What is the purpose of prefacing with."ever loving"

Example:
He fricked the "ever living" shite out of me. (With him not actually fricking some shite out of her obviously)

Hyperbole

The purpose is to exaggerate and stress importance of something that would otherwise appear useless or trivial. Like most of the shite on this board.
