I'm of the belief now that we should also include Anderson to get Asik and Parsons. I think Parsons would give us the spacing we need that Anderson provides but at the SF position. Anderson is a luxury now that Asik is here and I think that we could get a quality stretch four on the market behind Davis with part of the MLE. Resign Morrow who should be given a more involved and consistent role, find another defensive minded SF behind Parsons and sign another big to round out the team.
We can't get off of Gordon yet, so let him start the year, hopefully show his worth on a competing team and then move him at the break for someone or a few pieces, even if they are only quality bench players.

That would be best case scenario... This club is not that far from making a serious push in the West, but Dell has to nail these next finishing moves in order to get the team I think he is trying to build.

I'm cool with trading the 1st round picks right now because Demps/Monty don't have much time left to build around Davis and that also means we are at the end stages of the rebuild and now is the time to compete... We just need a SF and quality bench depth and we are in the race to win just like the rest of the West. A few more decent moves and this team is a 5-6 seed...

Maybe even resign Aminu as a backup SF for defensive purposes. I'm not oppose to that because he is a quality rebounder at the 3 and can play the 4 in a small ball lineup. He is not a starter but he can give you quality minutes when Parsons is off, unable to guard a superior SF, or in foul trouble...

Even if Houston wanted to do that trade, I'm not sure it's possible to get Parsons without trading Gordon too. Since they made Parsons an RFA we'd have to do a S&T for him meaning he'd be coming back to us making $7-$10 million or whatever his current market value is. Not to mention I think Houston thinks they are either getting Melo or Bosh and so wouldn't have a need to turn Parsons into Anderson.

From Houston's perspective if they get Melo, they don't need Parsons at that point. So then Anderson becomes a person of interest for spacing with Howard and a solid 6th man. We can even include Rivers so he could back up Harden...

At that point we would have a solid starting 5 and then focus on bench depth. Wouldn't mind Blatche at that point to be our 7th man and the bench becomes a strength as well.

That team then seriously has enough to compete in the West for a few years..

Then all you are waiting on is for Gordon to either ball so he can be trade bait for your 2nd star or get traded as part of a package at the break to acquire the finishing piece for the playoff push... His contract is toxic but they say he is fully healthy now and has no excuse not to hoop with the best team he would have ever been on. He can either want to be a part of the push or get pushed out for what we need. He still has potential to right the ship, it's up to him.

Melo just realized that getting $129M over 5 years from the Kicks is actually the same as winning a title...his wife convinced him of that!

The Rockets aren't trading Parsons unless it's for Rondo or Love.

Jrue/Russ/Reke/PG
Gordon/Reke/Morrow
Parsons/Aminu/SF
Davis/Blatche/PF
Asik/Smith/Blatche

Solid starters, quality bench, see what happens with that rotation and adjust at All Star Break to find missing piece... Young team, but dangerous for several years...

Well technically she's convincing him to make more money, and even if she weren't it's not even in the ball park of most expensive.

Settlement Amount: $1.7 billion

The most expensive divorce in the world to date is between Australian media mogul Rupert Murdoch and his former wife, Anna Murdoch (now Anna Murdoch Mann). After a marriage of 32 years and three children together, the couple split up in 1999. Under the settlement, $1.7 billion of Rupert's fortune (which included $110 million in cash) went to Anna.

Why in the world would the Rockets trade Parsons for Anderson?

Well even if they don't get Melo or Bron, they could sign Deng... Long shot, yes, but we are already working out the specifics of a deal and could try to include a three team trade where it could work... Guy can dream, can't he??

Houston is looking to add a great player.. not replace good players they already have with other good players.

And if the Rockets want Rondo or Love, we make it happen to finalize it. Celtics would be perfect because they could want Rivers for their rebuild and we see if they want Gordon or Anderson to swing for Parsons or Jeff Green who I like as well...

Pelicans get:
Asik/Parsons or Jeff Green
Possible bench big man
1.5 million cash

Rockets get:
Rondo

Celtics get:
Anderson/Rivers
New Orleans 1st Round pick and/or
Houston's 1st Round pick

Above trade is fair for all parties and makes each team better and fills needs all around... Dell can thank me once it's finalize... lol.

Note: if need be, Houston can get back Jeff Green in the deal if we get Parsons. The specifics can be worked out but this is a good starting point for all teams to work with and Houston and Celtics have young pieces to include in any scenario... If we could get the Celtics to bite on Gordon, it couldn't get any better... What y'all think?

So...how do we make the salary cap work for it.

Oh wait, we can't.

Why would Houston even do that trade?

Celtics don't need Rivers any longer with who they've signed and drafted. Unlike us, they don't want a team of guards.

Rockets won't take on Rondo, lose a 1st rounder, lose Parsons, and lose Asik without getting rid of Lin as well. If they were to do it, they'd need to get melo as well so that won't happen

In what world would can we get Parsons or Green by sending off rivers and anderson who is coming off a serious back injury.

You've named a couple of guys no longer on the team. And Houston isn't trading Parson for Anderson. We'd all love them to, it's just not happening. And the money doesn't work either. Sorry.
