I really don't have much to say here. The team looks different than it did last season. My hope is that relegation means more of the talented youngsters get a chance to shine.

Kay Voser
Shaun Hutchinson
Adam Taggart
Tim Hoogland
Ross McCormack
Kostas Stafylidis (loan - Leverkusen)

PLAYERS OUT:
Sascha Riether
Derek Boateng
Damien Duff
Josh Pritchard
Steve Sidwell
Giorgios Karagounis
Mahamadou Diarra
John Arne Riise
Matthew Briggs
John Heitinga
Brede Hangeland
Neil Etheridge
Pajtim Kasami
Kieran Richardson

PRESEASON FRIENDLIES

July 5: East Fife 0-3 Fulham
-Zverotic 55, Rodallega 63, Woodrow 75

July 12: Motherwell 0-2 Fulham
-Burgess 19, Stafylidis 53

July 19: Crawley Town (A)
July 26: DC United (A)

AUGUST LEAGUE FIXTURES

Cole and Tunnicliffe are with the team. They went out on those loans the second half of last year.

My guess is Tunnicliffe ends up being one of the starters in central midfield.

I don't know who we'll end up keeping. My guess is Dejagah is sold. Along with Ruiz. We probably send out Mitroglou on some sort of loan with a fee. Maybe Richardson and Roddalega stay.

Yeah, not sure what list I was reading just as a reference. Thought that didn't sound right.

I've read the Mitroglou loan rumors to Turkey. Wouldn't be a bad option to get his wages off the books but still have the option to bring him back if we get promoted.

It's certainly going to be a young team, but that was always going to be the case. Hoogland isn't the worst signing in the world. I didn't think much of Riether when we brought him in and he turned out OK.

Rodallega should stay and shine in the Championship. At least, I hope so.

Dunno what the plans for Cole are, but Fulham have like two central midfielders so I don't think Tunnicliffe would be going anywhere.

I don't really know much about McCormack, but the fact that he created the most chances in the Championship last year is a good sign - apparently not just a poacher type.

I also don't really care about the fee, but I kind of doubt that it was straight up 11 million. My guess is that it's a certain amount plus add-on's that might reach 11, and the flat 11 million probably came from Leeds sources.

Even if that's not the case, it's not my money.

Also Konstantinos Staflyidis is having a medical. 20, LB, that's had problems breaking into the Leverkusen side. His youtube video looks pretty good Looks quick at least.

I like the fact that we've gotten younger. Hoogland, Voser, and McCormack aren't kids, but at least we've cleared out most of the ancient fricks.

If we can go right back up, then the dropdown will actually be a net success just because of the forced youth movement. If not, who knows?

Glad to have McCormack, but still not sure I feel about the £11m tag. Feel like it could have been done for less, especially after McCormack forced the issue.

Still need more options in central midfield, but the squad is shaping up nicely. Very excited for the season.

I really doubt that it was a flat 11 million. That has Leeds PR written all over it.

We need central midfielders. Badly.

Every club in the world wants/needs a creative midfielder. FFC hasn't had one since Danny Murphy. Well, there was Moussa Dembele, but he really never got to be the man as he was snapped up by Spurs.

I'm liking these signings!
McCormack, I'm hearing, was signed for 5 or 6 million, with the rest added on for incentives and promotion.

Karagounis certainly had the energy to play a full match in Brazil.

Kasami is officially headed to Olymapiakos. Multiple reports out confirming the news. No report of a fee though.

I liked him just for how hard he tried and how much he seemed to care, but he was always relatively limited technically (the Crystal Palace goal was just absurd, but it wasn't like he was a great passer or had great control).

He could have done pretty well in the Championship but this has been expected for a while. I've heard a stupid number (8 million), but it wouldn't surprise me if it was an exchange for money we owed them for Mitroglou.

I dont know much about Konstantinos Stafylidis, but it seems like a sensible move. Young fullback with plenty of experience. Glad we are getting some youth for our backline after having Riise, Riether, Hangeland, etc.

I'm assuming Ruiz and Dejagah will be sold. I have no idea what will happen with Mitroglou. I would like to keep Richardson and Rodallega.

We need to add, at minimum, one central midfielder.

I assume we will play 2 up top fairly regularly unless Roddalega and Mitroglou are both sold.

Right now I wouldn't be upset by something like this:

McCormack-Woodrow

Richardson-Tunnicliffe-Parker-David

Staflyidis-Amorebieta-Hutchinson-Voser or Hoogland

Stockdale

I doubt they want to play Burn and Amorebieta together since they're both left footed. I would prefer a new central midfielder to replace one of those two.

Then other options: Burn, either Voser or Hoogland, Zverotic, Grimmer, new central midfielder, Kacaniklic, Cole, Roberts, Mesca, Taggart, Roddalega, Dembele, etc.

Obviously Mitroglou would be involved somehow if he stays.
