Lalas's response:

such a shame he became this. Lalas was one of my faves back in the day. Maybe his cool left with his hair.

I don't get why he is talking about no DeAndre Yedlin. Yedlin had a good game but I still don't think he would have started against Argentina.

If Fabian was still hobbled, which is very likely, Yedlin would definitely have started.

That's true. I forgot Fabian got hurt. I think Cameron would have started at RB and Beckerman moving back to CDM.

Jurgen isn't afraid to throw our young guys out there but I don't think he would start a guy like Yedlin in the quarterfinals against Argentina.

Not sure why people are calling Lalas a douche
Looks like he's just having a conversation on twitter

Geoff Cameron comes off looking pretty bad though

Idk man I went into watching the World Cup with hate for Gonzalez, but he had some really good games in Brazil.

I think everyone on the U.S. team hates Lalas so much that Cameron's like, "I'm not gonna let this fricking guy talk shite about me on twitter."

But Lalas is a soccer expert. He gets paid to talk about the game

Was he really talking shite, though?

I thought that conversation between him and Rob Stone was just Lalas joking about the talking points that would be brought up if the US was playing today.

Cameron made himself look a little dumb here. Even if Lalas was taking shots at Geoff, there is literally nothing good that can come from responding back to him on Twitter.
