I found this dog last week at our farm shop when I was coming in for lunch.
It appears he was dropped off by someone. He is incredibly sweet and friendly.
I decided to take him in and try to find to find him a home. He's been to the vet and is in good health...just needs some attention...roughly 25 lbs and vet said he may get to 30 lbs.
He's part lab and terrier and 6-8 months old - all black with a white spot on his chest.
Honestly, he looks like a lab pup.

I was thinking about taking him in for good but at this point, our one dog is enough...I need to find him a good home.

He's free to a good home...need the boards help with this one.

Email me at tdstewie@gmail.com if you know anyone interested.

I might be interested but need wife's approval. She's asleep right now. I'll answer in the morning if someone else doesn't claim him.

Don't think so...wife is about to have a baby and can't leave the area.

I should have mentioned, I'm right outside of Baton Rouge.

Quit trying to steal my thunder Stevie you bastard!

Hope you find a good home for the dog. That's very nice of you to take care of him for a week and finding a new home.

All of the shelters in the area will put him down if they can't place him...
...normally I wouldn't get too worked up and place him in a shelter but this little pup was too helpless and it broke my heart.

Thanks for the kind words, just hope we can place him in a good home before the baby gets here.

If no one takes him, contact friends of the animals off highland. Great place. Not sure if you have facebook but you can find them there

When we got a second dog, the first dog sprang to life.

I recommend people to have two dogs. Typically the dogs will get along great and complement each other.
Dogs are pack animals anyway.

Totally agree with this. If you've got one, might as well get another. I hate seeing dogs in a yard by themselves or worse in a kennel. They always look so bored and lonely. It's kinda cruel. We'll always have at least two dogs.
