I'm here in Anchorage for the Fourth and in two days I've seen two Tiger fans. I spoke to a gentleman at breakfast at my hotel decked out in P&G who was from BR on his bucket list vacation and this morning at Delany Park for the Fourth of July parade and celebration there was a young boy with an LSU cap on. Couple that with the guy I saw in front of me in customs in Sydney, Australia in May with an LSU cap on (who I was unable to get to talk to) and it seems awesome either that LSU fans are worldwide or that they travel far and wide from BR.

I normally travel to New Mexico once year, and I always run into a tiger fan. We everywhere!

That's awesome!
The most random place I ever bumped into Tiger fans was about 7000 ft up in Rocky Mountain National Park.
We were at some little park, there was snow on the ground, I'm wearing an LSU windbreaker and I hear "Geaux Tigers!" There was an older couple there from Mandeville visiting.
I always enjoy stuff like that.

Reminds me of when I was hiking a part of the Appalachian Trail along the border of North Carolina and Tennessee. I ran into a guy going the other way, wearing an LSU baseball cap. We're everywhere.

Ah, Elmendorf! I stayed at the Holiday Inn that was about a mile and a half from there 16 years ago-unfortunately it doesn't exist anymore. I'm staying in midtown, several miles away. I had a great dinner at my favorite downtown dive, Humpy's on 6th Ave. The barmaid was wearing the exact type T-shirt that I bought there in 1998. I hope she washed hers since then!!!

I was assigned to Elmendorf,AFB. There is a bar in Anchorage shows Saints games every Sunday. About 40 to 60 fans show up. There are a lot of LA people live there.

Some pretty sites on the Appalachian trail! I was forced to hike it as part of a youth challenge boot camp I had to go to for a being a bad arse kid.
I hated it at the time but looking back on it now that I'm grown it really was amazing. Except for the blizzard and 70 mph winds on top of bald mountain!! That still sucked

And, thanks to all the US Military of all branches of all eras for their service to our great nation! My late father as well as his brother served in WWII, and their two younger brothers served in Korea, so I also thank and salute all veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice to our country to secure our freedom forever on this Independence Day!

I haven't come close to doing the whole thing, just a few 2-week trips here and there, and I've done most of it south of Virginia. I hear you though... I hated being out in the rain, but still kept going back.

Not surprised to see that one. LSU has summer study abroad programs all over the world. Quite a few in Western Europe.
