Hopefully it'll stay strong in the 90% range. It's fantastic. Certified Fresh.

How does it look stacking up against the rest of the year's movies?

I remember seeing the first (well, first of the new set) one and really enjoying it but for some reason, I'm not excited to see this one.

But if the reviews stay in the 90% range, I guess it'll end up getting me.

I see that much CGI in a trailer, and I automatically lose interest. Didn't see the first one either.

According to movie insiders, this one is supposed to be FAR better than the first one, and the first one was damn good!

Essentially, it's supposed to be a war movie set 10 years beyond the end of the first movie. Very dark and hopeless.

I'm excited!

In the annals of sequels, Dawn is to Rise of the Planet of the Apes what The Empire Strikes Back was to Star Wars -- it's that much better.

quote:

Andy Serkis and Toby Kebbell deliver stand out performances that will ensure Dawn a place in movie history.

quote:

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes isn't just a great time at the theater, but a genuinely great movie without a single dull moment.

quote:

'Dawn' is not just a good genre movie or a good summer movie. It's a great science-fiction film, full-stop, and one of the year's very best movies so far.

quote:

Smart, emotionally deep, exciting, beautiful to behold, and culturally relevant, Dawn is quite simply a great film.

Wow...that's about as good a praise as you can get short of calling it Godfather II.

only 16 reviews counted way to early to tell.

but with the crap that has come out recently it will be nice to go see a movie with good ratings from RT.
