Good Index Fund Portfolio

If you had an IRA with $50k and wanted a balanced portfolio using only index funds, what would you buy? Currently have about $12k in VFINX. I have been kind of nervous to buy anything with the market being so high.

75% VTSAX
25% VTIAX
Or for single funds that are truly balanced check out vanguard's life strategy funds. Pick one with a stock/bond ratio you are comfortable with and put it all there.

Invest in Bank of America. It trades at 16 dollars and is on the rise. I own 1000 shares. it will double in a few years

I'd put at least SOME in the Vanguard utilities ETF.

how do you know its high? maybe it will be 25000 next year at this time....
Vanguard or Spartan Total Stock Market index fund
same with Total bond index fund
Adjust percent of stocks to bonds as you are comfortable.
