Several reports out there stating he is likely out vs Germany. I'm guessing back injury, but not sure exactly what or how bad.

This could still be speculation by one website, so don't take it for gospel. Consensus right now is semifinals is unlikely. If it is a fractured vertebra, then no way he plays again for a while.

He cried wolf one too many times for me. I just assumed he was writhing in agony again as a show. He had done it twice already in the match, same facial expression and scream too. . .

It was definitely dirty, but when your regular hits have the same overselling expression as legitimate fouls... I'd hate to be a soccer ref.

Definitely a little dirty, but you're completely right about the card issue. Zuniga should have been issued a yellow earlier in the match, or at least someone should have earlier. If that was the case the challenges later in the game wouldn't have been nearly as reckless. That ref and Zuniga need protection immediately.
