I think it was a fabulous resort where wealthy Livingston Parish residents frolicked.

Normand the main swimming area is pond in the center of the subdivision. It's the one surrounded by the homes. The lake is still also there.

I remember they even had cabins you could rent to stay the night. We actually stayed the night in one when I was a kid
I remember the huge pond with the slides. You used burlap sacks to slide down the slides. There was some concrete thing in the middle you could hang onto iirc.
There was a smaller pond by the cabins that you could rent those giant waterbike things and paddle around the pond.

ok whatever but if you go the the facebook page they have an overlay there showing the homes surrounding the swimming hole that was the original pool. I'm not saying they didn't enlarge or in some way dig out the pool to suit their needs for Paradise Lakes though.

The place you went on the last day of school/thread

no it doesn't look anything like it did. but from the photos of the overlay, I can pick out where my family set up for Sunday picnics up on the hill overlooking the lake, and place where things were like the pavilion, and the slide etc.

It was the first place many 14/15 year olds got drunk on the last day of school.
