I don't know how it makes it that much more attractive. In the short term the Saints don't make cap space for the WR tag, but Graham is still going to get paid more than 7 a year. The price would still be very steep, and it would have to be an offer Graham would have to accept.

I think a team giving up that much to get him is a long shot, but I think it has a much greater chance of happening now than before the franchise tag issue was resolved. He could still be demanding top WR money, but since Al Davis is dead I don't think there's any team in the NFL that would give up that much capital and future possibilities just to get him. I think the much more likely scenario is he gets a long term contract around time for preseason.

God I hope so!

I'd take 2 #1's for JG yesterday.

Would I do the deal? Absolutely.
Do I think the deal is actually done? No way.

Two 1st rounders is a lot for a TE/WR hybrid that is demanding a lot of big money. The other thing is that while we look at these teams like the Seahawks, Patriots, Packers, etc as top teams who'd most likely be giving us mid-late round picks, the organizations themselves can't view themselves as that. They have to hold onto those picks in case something goes wrong, like a key injury or something.

If anyone were to view the Graham deal as plausible, I think it'd be an organization that may have had rough luck in the 1st round as of late or just is in dire need of a playmaker. Truth be told, if I had to take a guess as to which team would inquire about Jimmy, I'd still go with Cleveland. Indianapolis and Atlanta would be close seconds.

Graham isn't going anywhere.

Not trying to hijack this thread (there's not much use talking about getting 2 1st rounders anyway) but the NFL Network is starting to leak a few things about the arbitration case. It seems that Bill Polian appeared in the case as an expert on player positions. It is reported that in his opinion Graham is a TE. Just thought it was an interesting bit of info.
