Any better options than the Mobile tunnel route for Florida vacation?

Coming back home from Florida vacation to our great state of Louisiana on Friday. The drive here sucked going through Mobile. Any viable (faster) routes to take? TIA

Take the Ferry at the Mouth of Mobile Bay, drive to Dauphin Island, get in line and kick back.

Got a young kid and a baby that aren't super easy to travel with. Mobile tunnel has taken me up to an extra 45 minutes to get through. Not a huge deal...but wouldn't mind knowing if better options exist. Sounds like they don't.

Yep, did this coming home from Ft. Walton 2 weeks ago. Saved me 45 minutes of sitting in traffic.
