For being July and Cassidy still being relatively unknown, this is great news for Republicans. Mary has been spending considerable amounts of cash and literally has 0 to show for it. Cassidy does nothing but keep improving in polls. Also, these are Presidential turnout numbers in this poll which shows how much Mary Landrieu really is in trouble.
quote:

PPP's newest Louisiana poll finds a race largely unchanged from February: Mary Landrieu and Bill Cassidy are likely to advance to a December runoff, and that match up is a toss up. Landrieu leads with 44% for the November election to 27% for Cassidy, 8% for Rob Maness, and 5% for Paul Hollis. Neither of the Republican alternatives to the establishment candidate are gaining any steam.

quote:

The likely Landrieu/Cassidy match up for the December runoff is tied at 47. Among those who support Maness or Hollis or are undecided for the November election, 68% move to Cassidy for December compared to only 11% who move toward Landrieu.

quote:

Landrieu has a 42/52 approval rating,

I'm liking this, but when does Cassidy start making some noise around the state?

Your guess is as good as mine.

But, she's burning through tons of cash so far on ad buys and whatnot and she can't even move the needle.

Cassidy has just started ad buys and continues to tick up. Outside of LA-6, he's still relatively unknown and hasn't really made any strong appearances. Needs to fix that.

So not even taking her dad out of his nursing home to make TV commercials for her has helped? Interesting.....

That is a pretty stupid excuse/reason for her past wins

I just hope to hell that she doesn't win again.

Should I have brought up the dead people voting?

Everyone knows why she gets reelected, and it isn't necissarily either of the two. We need to wipe out most incumbents. That's the only shot that this country has at recovering.

Been posted 79 times. Go back and look at the demographics and map of where and who voted for her in the last two elections.
Acadiana had a lot to do with her wins too.

This X100.
I understand that some people need their really conservative tea party guy, but this is not the fcking election to go for this stuff. It is too important for the state and country.
Cassidy can't be wasting time and money fighting against anyone other than Mary.

Maness is a selfish attention whore. He is in it for no one but himself. He attacks Cassidy more than he does Mary.

Hell, the St. Tammany RPEC he's a member of endorsed Cassidy over Maness. That will tell you something right there.

Mary will limp in the run-off and hope the GOP can't turn out the base twice.
