I have my gloves on. Go.

About to start construction and while I have tried to think of everything in terms of layout, form and function, I'm confident that I missed more than one thing.

FWIW, I don't live in the desert.

Installing a mobile fire pit. Prefer this over a stationary one. Plus it's hot where I live.

Make a ledge in the pool right next to the outdoor kitchen so people can sit in the pool and enjoy a few drinks and talk! Like a pool bar...

If the cover is that close to the pool make sure it is anchored properly. The lack of walls will make it more unstable and if it racks and falls it can damage the pool in the process. Also that cover does not have walls so your insurance will only pay out damages on a deprecated, actual cash value basis. This is also true for the pool.

My freind with one has the grill/counter top facing the pool so you see it while you cook. But also has a little overhang on the pool side of it so the barstools are shaded.

Looks great, i'm jealous.

EDIT: and the pool bar thing, great idea.

I can't really say anything about your pool plans... But you got one of the best avi's out there.

We're going with a beach entry to utilize a sun deck. Drinks, my kids can serve those to me.

We will have one brick wall with 2 "windows" that will have hurricane shutters on the opposite side of them.

Appreciate the information.

What app/tool did you use to generate that?

We had the plans professionally done - created in black and white. Our pool contractor then took these plans and added color to them.

Not sure of the program he uses.
