Netflix has released the trailer for the fourth season of "The Killing," premiering exclusively on Netflix on Friday, August 1, 2014 in all territories where Netflix is available.
The final season of "The Killing" picks up right after the Season 3 finale. As Detective Linden (Mireille Enos) and Detective Holder (Joel Kinnaman) struggle to manage the fallout from their rash actions at the end of last season, they are assigned a new case -- a picture perfect family is murdered, survived only by the son, Kyle Stansbury (Tyler Ross), who was shot in the head during the massacre. Joan Allen guest stars this season as Colonel Margaret Rayne, the headmaster of the all-boys military academy where Kyle attends. The new season also stars Gregg Henry, Sterling Beaumon and Levi Meaden.
"The Killing" is created and executive-produced by Veena Sud. Mikkel Bondesen is executive producer for Fabrik Entertainment. Kristen Campo also serves as co-executive producer for Fabrik. "The Killing" is produced by Fox Television Studios for Netflix.
The first three seasons of "The Killing" are available now to stream globally on Netflix.

Pretty excited for it, looks good.
Detective Holder is one of my favorite characters on tv from the past few years.

not sure how Linden gets away with what she did at the end of last season, but it was better than the first two. Holder is the shite yo

Holder > (insert any lame smartass character on TV except for Raylan Givens)

Linden is about the most unlikeable protagonist on TV. That usually turns me off on shows. But I love the Killing. Even though they make Seattle look like Gary, IN.

Is it really the final season? I'm not saying I can't get enough of the least professional cop duo around, but I'd love to see a model where there were enough viewers to support a show with short seasons. The Brits do this with many of their shows.

Holder is such a great character. I like how him and Linden are so different but work well together

quote:Both the main characters did pretty big movies. (Joel Kinnaman, Robocop. Mireille Enos, WWZ) I thought they both were on their way to stardom, but both movies failed. Especially Robocop. Maybe they will be back for more seasons.

I don't have Netflix. Would I be able to watch all episodes of the new season immediately or are they released weekly?

All the new episodes immediately
